"His be the Victor's name", by Samuel Whitelock Gandy. Does anyone know any other biographical details about him?

His be the Victor's name, 
Rev 5.5  the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed
Who fought the fight alone;
Isa 59.16  he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation
Triumphant saints no honour claim, 
Isa 63.3  I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me
His conquest was their own.

Through weakness and defeat
2Cor 13.4  though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God
He won the meed and crown;

He Satan's power laid low;
